Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships

Unrestricted, $200,000 tax-free grants over two years for early mid-career Australian artists, creatives, and cultural leaders. Artforms: circus, comedy, community arts, cultural leadership, dance, design, film, humanities, literature, live art, music, nonfiction, theatre, or visual arts.
First awarded in 2011, the Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships provide unrestricted, $200,000 tax-free grants over two years to early mid-career Australian artists, creatives and cultural leaders. Specific outcomes for the Fellowships are not required.
Nominations are welcome for artists, creators and cultural leaders across the entire spectrum of the arts and humanities. Applicants to the program may not self-nominate and must include two referees who are not the nominator. In 2025, eight Sidney Myer Creative Fellowships and two Ian Potter Creative Fellowships will be awarded.

The Ian Potter Cultural Trust Emerging Artist Grants

Grants of up to $15,000 to assist emerging and early-career artists with professional development opportunities, usually overseas. The closing date is January 20, 2026. Artforms: animation, craft, dance, design, ceramics, performing arts, music, and more.
The Emerging Artist Grants program offers grants of up to $15,000 to assist talented emerging and early-career artists in taking up professional development opportunities, usually overseas.
The Trust primarily supports structured professional development and networking opportunities such as residencies, internships, mentorships, workshops, and conferences.
SBW Foundation ASSISTING THE PERFORMING ARTS

Financial assistance of up to $10,000 for individual performing artists. Projects may be in a wide range of performing arts, including theatre, opera, puppetry, dance, and music.
The Seaborn, Broughton & Walford Foundation welcomes applications for financial assistance from both performing arts companies and from individual performing artists. Projects may be in any of a wide range of forms in the performing arts, including theatre, opera, puppetry, dance and music.
Individuals may apply for grants up to $10,000.
Companies may apply for grants up to $50,000.
Applications open on Monday 28 April 2025.
