Quick Industry Update!
It’s been a huge month in the arts world. There’s a lot of turbulence happening for the performing arts world right now, though a glimmer of light can be seen with the Victorian Government announcing the new Musical Theatre Development Fund - something so desperately needed. I’m really looking forward to tracking the associated opportunities with this fund.
New Matched Funding Programs 🔔
Another update is that Match Lab and Plus 1 have been removed from Creative Australia’s matched funding pathways (boo!!!!) These two funds had a particularly high success rate for a Creative Australia fund. But not to worry - they’ve been replaced with more strategic programs that offer varying levels of support and direction. And look - I’m not mad about it. There are now three levels of support; beginner, intermediate and advanced. You, reader, will likely be eligible for the Matched Funding for Artists and Artist Groups – Intermediate. So if you’ve been waiting to crowd fund a project, now could be the time to start preparing! 👀
