Okay, so I was curious.
I decided to look at all the open opportunities on the toolkit, and I was literally shocked at the amount of funding available.
The sad part is that most of the time, these opportunities fail to reach artists. Most people rely on their social media algorithms to serve them new opportunities, and by that time, it’s already too late.
Right now, there is over $1.65 million available for Australian artists on the toolkit. 💌

2026 Immersive Arts Commission 🎨 Closes 8 June 2026 | Australia-wide/WA
The boorda yeyi Immersive Arts Commission supports artists in creating ambitious, new, critically engaged work that uses immersive technologies. Valued at $75,000, it includes a $50,000 commission fee and $25,000 in-kind support from PICA. The commissioned artist will premiere the work at PICA in 2027 before it tours regionally.

The Richell Prize for Emerging Writers 2026 📝 Closes 13 July 2026 | Australia-wide
The prestigious Richell Prize for Emerging Writers, presented in partnership by Emerging Writers’ Festival Hachette Australia, is back. Entries are open to unpublished writers of adult fiction and adult narrative non-fiction. The winner will receive $10,000 in prize money and a year’s mentoring with one of Hachette Australia’s publishers.

Applicants must be Australian citizens or Permanent Residents and demonstrate exceptional talent and commitment to their practice.

The Library’s Creative in Residence program connects performing arts practitioners with the State Library of NSW's rich collections. It supports the development of new artistic work based on or inspired by the Library's collections. The program provides $15,000, and a twelve-month Residency for mid-career and established performing arts practitioners.

Tubi x Black List Horror Initiative 🎬 Closes June 30 2026 | Global
The Black List and Tubi have expanded their partnership with a new initiative to provide both emerging and established writers with the opportunity to submit feature scripts within the horror genre with the intention for Tubi to produce and distribute the selected script. Writers can submit their entries beginning March 1, 2026 and the submission period will run through June 30, 2026.
